Pad Printing Medical Devices

We?re experts in the printing on components for electronic wire connectors, silicone rubber, (fluorosilicone rubber/viton) plastic, glass and ceramic used in military, healthcare, aerospace and electronic industries, and Pad Printing Medical Devices.

We specialize in printing on plastic, metal, glass, silicone and rubber medical devices. We also imprint on injection molded parts, syringes, vials, beakers, ampoules, and all laboratory ware using medical grade inks.

Pad Printing

Pad Printing ExampleWhat is Pad printing... a printing process that can transfer a 2-D image onto a 3-D object. This is accomplished using an indirect offset (gravure) printing process that involves an image being transferred from the cliché via a silicone pad onto a substrate. Pad printing is used for printing on otherwise difficult to print on products in many industries including medical, automotive, promotional, apparel, and electronic objects, as well as appliances, sports equipment and toys.

It can also be used to deposit functional materials such as conductive inks, adhesives, dyes, and lubricants. In most cases the best method used for printing on cylindrical, irregular or odd shaped items with three-dimensional, or textured surfaces. Whether concave or convex, recessed or specially contoured, these objects can be printed with precision.

 


Screen Printing

Screen Printing ExampleWhat is Screen Printing...it is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil. A blade or squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the open mesh apertures with ink, and a reverse stroke then causes the screen to touch the substrate momentarily along a line of contact. This causes the ink to wet the substrate and be pulled out of the mesh apertures as the screen springs back after the blade has passed. One color is printed at a time, so several screens can be used to produce a multicoloured image or design.

Attention to detail is the trademark of our screen printing department. We provide custom imprinting, decorating, and marking services on your supplied items that require close tolerance printing.

We have the ability to print on a wide variety of materials including plastic, metal, glass, silicone rubber, fiber and many other substrates. The ink systems that we use comply with Medical, Military, Aero Space and Industrial specifications for permanent adhesion to your products.

Dalco also offers a range of additional services such as the printing on three ring binders, point of purchase displays, signs, posters, nameplates, nameplates identification, name badges, bumper stickers, emblems, flags, banners, static vinyl, signs, and garment printing.

In addition to the tasks related directly to the printing, Dalco also offers a variety of other pre and postproduction operations to compliment our screen and pad printing.
